Monjayaki before cooking
After we raised a toast, the Monjayaki started to arrive.
How to Make Monjayaki
Step 1: Leave the liquid flour batter in the bowl, and place only solid ingredients on the griddle.
Step 2: Make a round shape circle, and create a hole in the middle of the ingredients with the spatula.
Step 3: Pour the leftover into the hole.
Step 4: If some ingredients come out of the hole, push them back with the spatula.
Step 5: Once the batter starts to boil, mix and cook all the ingredients together.
How to Eat Monjayaki
Use a small spatula to scoop and the eat the small bite-sized portions. People often eat it, usually use small spatulas, and when eating, press Monja against the griddle with spatulas.
Monjayaki after cooking - it takes a whole lot better than it looks.
We had a blast. Eating with everyone is much more fun than eating alone. Don't you think so? If you travel to Japan, I'll cook Monjayaki for you. I'm looking forward to the day.
