バカバカしい！
言いたいヤツは言ってればいい
誰も真実を知らないのだから。。
My mother bore me, in the southern wild.
I live in darkness, but my soul is light.
Light as the forehead of an English child.
But I'm in darkness and bereaved of light.
母は僕を南の荒野に産んでくれた
闇に生きる僕だが魂は輝いている
イギリスの少年の顔のような明るさ
けれど、僕は暗闇の中にいて光を失ってしまった
My mother taught me underneath a tree,
and sitting down before the heat of day,
she took me on her lap, and kissed me,
and pointing to the east, began to say.
母は木陰で僕に教えてくれた
暑くなる前に座って
僕を膝に抱き、キスしてくれた
そして東を指差して語り始めた
Look upon the rising sun, their God does live,
and gives his light and gives his heat away,
and all the trees, and flowers, and beasts, and men,
receive their comfort from the morning threw the bright noon day.
太陽をご覧なさい、神様がいらっしゃるわ
光と温もりを与えて下さるの
全ての草花や動物や人間に
朝から明るい午後にかけて穏やかな時が訪れるの
And we are put on earth a little space,
that we may learn to bare the beams of love,
and these poor bodies and this ravaged face,
are but a cloud, and like a shady grove...
私たちはこの世界の片隅で
愛の光を覆わないことを学ぶの
貧弱な身体、痛ましいほどの顔は
雲や影の多い木立に過ぎないわ
For when our souls have learned the heat to bear,
the clouds will vanish,
we will hear his voice saying,
Come out from the grove my love and care,
and around my golden tent like lambs rejoice.
私たちの魂が暑さに耐える事を学んだ時
雲は突然無くなるわ
耳を澄ませば神様の声が聞こえるでしょう
さぁ、愛する者よ、木陰から出てきて
黄金のテントの羊たちのように歓びを感じなさいと
Thus did my mother say and kissed me.....
こんな風に僕の母は言って、キスしてくれた。。。。。
But.....why was I born to this grave,
Languishing deep in this tomb?

And restore a small glimmer of light to my gloom
なのに何故僕はこの世に生まれてきてしまったのだろう？
音楽の天使よ、僕に僅かな光を返しておくれ

In the vast open world
Is a voice that can sing?

Like a bird taking wing!

If it can be, where is she?
世界の何処に行けば見付け出せる？
鳥が飛び立つように自由で

願わくば彼女は何処に？

Who, with effortless song
Makes a light in the dark?

暗闇を抜け出して
愛しい声を探し始めよう

In the streets, the cafes

悲しみに深く朽ち果てた身体に
優しい歌が生きる意味を教えてくれる
離れていても
She who was born to command by singing!

To a plan I weave with grand design
神が授けた声だから
強く心に響くだろう

暗闇から救って欲しい
