Our Hearts Beat for Kabe-don 壁ドンにドキがムネムネ

I have a question: have you ever heard of "Kabe-don"?

質問ですが、「壁ドン」ってご存知ですか？
日本人はスルーして下さいw

This is the situation called Kabe-don in Japan. Most of Japanese girls love it. And many Japanese people have been taking a keen interest in the words since it was ranked among the top ten Japan's buzzwords of the year for 2014.

コレが多くの日本女子が好むシチュエーション、壁ドンです。
そしてその言葉が2014年度流行語大賞トップ10にランクインして以来
実に多くの日本人がかなりの関心を寄せています。

Let me briefly explain about it, the Kabe-don is the best possible romantic situation that could happen. It happens when someone leans over someone else—who is against a wall—with on arm (or rarely both arms)... then DON! (the sound of something hitting a hard surface) This is what causes excitement and exhilaration.

簡単にご説明しますと
それは日本の女子にとって最高の恋愛シチュエーションなんですね。
相手を壁際まで追い込み逃げ場を無くし
片手で（稀に両手）相手越しに壁を突く。。。そしてドーンッ！
コレがたまらなくドキドキするというのです。

To be honest, I have never come across a girl who doesn't like Kabe-don. Just like there aren't any boys who wouldn't like to be fed by a girl, there aren't any girls who wouldn't like to experience Kabe-don.

今まで壁ドンが好きではないという女子に正直出会ったことが無いですね。
全男子が女子に「お口アーン」されるのが嫌いではないのと同じく
全女子が壁ドンが好きと言っても過言ではないでしょう。

As loved as Kabe-don is, sadly, in reality, there aren't many instances to experience it. So I tried it with my co-actor who played the female lead of my own musical company in Maihama Dandy show last fall.

そんな壁ドンですが、リアルな世界ではなかなか体験する機会が無い、というのが悲しい現実。
ですので、女子役を演じたマイ歌劇団の相手役男子と、昨秋公演した『マイハマ・ダンディ』にてそれをトライしてみました。







How did you like it? :) It was a precious experience, and the situation was very fresh and fun to us. But if I can be greedy, I'd like to say that instead of this manufactured situation, I'd rather have someone Kabe-don me out of the blue. That's what a real Kabe-don is! We are hoping there will be more boys willing to do it in the future. 😁

我々にとっては実に貴重な体験であり
とて〜も新鮮で楽しかったですね。
が、欲を言うならば、この作られたシチュエーションではなく
何でもない時に予期せぬタイミングで壁ドンされたい。。。
それが壁ドンというものだ！🚪💨💨💨
そんな感じでリアル生活で壁ドンをやってくれる男子が増えることを願ってやみません😁

I never want to do Kabe-don to anyone.. Yes, I want to be Kabe-doned by someone great... The one is.....Clint Eastwood.....hehe... 😊 I am so into him. I know he is an aged man but I'm not so concerned about it. He is perfect! 👍 Even if he stagger and nearly fall, I'll support him with my hands. lol

いやもうですね、二度と壁ドンをする側にはなりたくないです（キッパリ！）
えぇ、素敵な誰かさんからされたいと激しく思っていルンです。
そのお方は。。。。。クリント・イーストウッドさま。。。。。フフ😊
ただ今彼に夢中なんです。

Enchanted - Disney on Classic Spring Gala 2016 魔法にかけられて〜ディズニー・オン・クラシック春の音楽祭2016

I saw Disney on Classic Spring Gala 2016 with some of my musical mates at Tokyu Theatre Orb after work last Friday.

先週の金曜日に音楽仲間と『ディズニー・オン・クラシック〜春の音楽祭2016』を東急シアターオーブへ観に行って来ました。

Dubbed "a musical theatre floating on air," Tokyu Theatre Orb is nestled inside a stunning glass atrium that sits wedged between the 11th and 16th floors of a new multi-use tower in Tokyo.
It is the largest venue of its type in Japan, with a maximum seating capacity of 1,972, and it also boasts a reinforcement system based on Meyer Sound M'elodie line array loudspeakers.

“宙空のミュージカル劇場”と呼ばれる東急シアターオーブは
11階から16階の間が驚くほど素晴らしい吹き抜けになっている
東京の新しい多目的劇場です。
日本では最大の会場であり、座席数は最大で1,972席
また音響は世界最強のメイヤーズ・システムを採用しています。

The theater is—literally—the centerpiece of Shibuya Hikarie, a high-rise retail, entertainment and commercial project developed by the Tokyu Corporation.
It is located in the Shibuya municipality of Tokyo, an area known as a thriving center for fashion, entertainment and nightlife.

劇場は東急によって開発された商業用高層建築であり
正に渋谷ヒカリエの中心的存在となっています。
場所はファッションや娯楽、ナイトライフ等で人気のある中心地として知られている、東京都の渋谷区にあります。

This theatre has become my favorite since I saw the Broadway revival of West Side Story in July 2012.

2012年7月にブロードウェイ引っ越し公演『ウエストサイド物語』を観て以来
ここが大のお気に入りです。

The view from the window is enchantingly beautiful..

窓からの眺めはウットリするほど美しいですし。。

Also, Mt. Fuji can be seen from here. Yes, it was neatly visible the day. Hot dog! 👍 So I suggest everyone to come here to see it. 😉

This Disney on classic Spring Gala 2016 has performed Disney animation and film music, including Pinocchio, Hercules, The Lion King, Aladdin, selected Pixar animation as well as Tokyo Disneyland park music.

今回の『ディズニー・オン・クラシック〜春の音楽祭2016』では、東京ディズニーランドのテーマパーク音楽及び、ピクサー映画よりセレクトされた『ピノキオ』『ヘラクレス』『ライオン・キング』『アラジン』等のディズニーアニメや映画音楽が演奏されています。

The concert was an even more splendid than I had imagined. 👏 Every story and music were full of adventure, courage, love and friendship. That's my Disney! 👍👍

コンサートはもう想像以上にす薔薇しかったです👏
どのお話も曲も冒険、勇気、愛、そして友情に満ちていて
サスガはディズニーですね！👍👍

And every member of the singers from Broadway was a show-stopper. Bravissimo!!! 👏👏👏 However, I keenly felt the difficulty of staging the Broadway musical. Rome was not built in a day.. I think it is better for the Japanese do not musical...maybe... 😱

そしてブロードウェイシンガー隊のどの方もす薔薇しすぎる名演でした。
ブラヴィッシーモ！！！👏👏👏
とは言えど、ブロードウェイミュージカルを上演することの難しさを痛感しました。
ローマは一日にして成らず。。
この際日本人はミュージカルをヤラない方が身のためではないかと。。。たぶん。。。😱

Be that as it may, Brad Kelley, a Disney composer and conductor was also very wonderful. 👏👏
He has contributed to the Disney on Classic series since its first performance, "Concert at Magical Night," in 2002, helping to make the concerts successful every year.
His direction and arrangement skills are excellent, and he always manages to capture the hearts of Japanese audiences.
He has joined a number of Disney projects including Mystic Rhythms and Donald's Boat Builders, as well as Encore! at Tokyo DisneySea.
He has visited Japan many times and loves Japanese culture and food.

それはさておき、ディズニー作曲家でもあり指揮者でもあるブラッド・ケリー氏もとてもす薔薇し過ぎました👏👏
彼は2002年にスタートした『まほうの夜の音楽会』よりディズニー・オン・クラシック・シリーズに貢献しており、毎年コンサートを大成功に導いています。
彼の指揮と編曲は極めて優れており、常に日本人観客の心を捉えて離しません。
そして東京ディズニーシーの『アンコール！』も含め、『ミスティックリズム』や『ドナルドのボートビルダー』の音楽にも参加しています。
また、日本を度々訪れていて、日本文化と日本食の愛好家でもあります。

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all the show members. The show was amazing end-to-end, and all the music has given me encouragement and hope. I had a wonderful time with you all. Thank you so much for the magical time. I can't wait to see you all at the next concert.

初めから終わりまでただただす薔薇しかったですし

Rhapsody in Green ラプソディー・イン・グリーン

What do you do on your days off? Or what do you like to do in your spare time? I'm too busy to take days off, but I got the OK from my manager to take one day off last Sunday that I went to Katsushika, an old downtown district of Tokyo with him. Yes, I love getting out into nature. It was so nice outside.

あなたは休日に何をしてらっしゃいますか？
もしくは時間がある時は何をするのがお好みですか？
自分は忙しくてなかなか休みが取れないのですが
一日オフを取るオッケーをマネージャーからいただきましたので👌
先週の日曜日に彼と一緒に葛飾へ繰り出しました。
えぇ！自然の中で遊ぶのが大好きですから。
天気もすこぶる良かったですしね。

I visited this Horikiri Waterfront Park for the first time, and the open view made me feel great.

この堀切水辺公園は初めてでしたが
広々とした眺めがそれは気分爽快でした。

And I saw a lovely Iris on the way in walking. I hear the flower meaning is attached with hope, faith, friendship and wisdom. I was touched by the words. I have a feeling something nice will happen. :)

そしてウォーキング中に一輪のアヤメを見付けまして。
その花言葉は　希望・信頼・友情・知恵　だとか。
ジーンときてしまいましたね〜。
何かいいことが起こりそうなかほりが^^

The tower you see across the river is Tokyo Skytree, a new television broadcasting tower: it is the centerpiece of the Tokyo Skytree Town in the Sumida City Ward, not far away from Katsushika. With a height of 634 meters, it is the tallest building in Japan and the second tallest structure in the world at the time of its completion.
It looks to me like the tower is handsome; it speaks to my heart whenever I see it. 💖 It was my lucky day. 👍

川の向こうに見える塔は東京スカイツリーというおNEW電波塔で
東京スカイツリータウンの目玉でもあり
その墨田区は葛飾よりそう遠くないところにあります。
塔の高さは634mで
現時点では日本で一番高い建物であり
世界で二番目に高い建物でもあります。
私にとってはハンサムさんで
ソレを眺める時はいつもトキメイテしまうんですね〜💖
いやもう得した気分でした👍

I've been practicing George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, one of my repertoires on the piano recently...but I just can't seem to play this piece like he did... I can't believe myself sometimes. 😥
That reminds me, his technique was superb that everyone recognized him as a brilliant pianist in those days. It is what it is. But they say slow and steady wins the race.

Don't throw in the towel!

ここ最近、ガーシュインの『ラプソディー・イン・ブルー』を練習しているのですが
まぁレパートリーだったりするんですね。
が、何かこう上手く弾けないんですよね〜彼が為されたようには。。。

そう言えば彼のテクニックはす薔薇しく
当時は誰もが彼を極めて優秀なピアニストだと認めていて。
えぇ、そういうことなんですつまるところ。

By the Sparkling Deep Blue Sea 煌めく紺碧の海辺にて

It's been so warm for the past few days that I feel like it's already early summer. And the sea is as beautiful as ever. Watching the surface of the sea, sparkling in the sunshine just makes me feel the greatness of nature and the smallness of humans.

ここのところ初夏を思わせるような陽気ですね〜
そして海は相変わらず美しく。
もう陽光を受けて煌めく海面を見ているだけで自然の偉大さ、人間の小ささを感じます。

The deep blue sea shines bright like a diamond; it blows my mind...

紺碧の海がまるで宝石のようにキラキラ輝いていて。。
ウットリ〜〜〜〜〜

I do think no matter how lovely, no woman can rival the beauty of nature. Also, it's not too much to say that all art is but imitation of nature.

どんなに素敵な女性でさえ、自然の美しさには敵わない！
と本当に思います。
また、全ての芸術は自然の模倣であると言っても過言ではないでしょう。

However, nuclear weapons destroy it in an instant.

Barack Obama to visit Hiroshima - first US president to do so since 1945 nuclear attack

Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has expressed hope that US President Barack Obama's visit to Hiroshima will help to increase the momentum for nuclear disarmament.

The Japanese and US governments have announced that Obama will visit the Japanese city on May 27th after the G7 summit in central Japan.

Obama will be the first incumbent US president to travel to the atomic-bombed city. Abe plans to accompany him.

The Japanese government had maintained that the decision to visit Hiroshima was up to the US government as some Americans think that nuclear weapons had to be used to bring an early end to World War Two.

Abe told reporters on Tuesday that he welcomes Obama's decision.

He said he wants to make the visit an opportunity for the people of Japan and the US to pay tribute to all the victims. He also said he believes it will provide great momentum for achieving a world free of nuclear arms.

Some officials with the Japanese government say the visit to the atomic-bombed city will send a message about nuclear disarmament because it will be made by the leaders of the country that suffered nuclear attacks and the nation that used the weapons.

Others say it will show the strength of the Japan-US relations.

The international efforts for nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation have stalled recently. The major reasons are the conflicting views between nuclear and non-nuclear nations and the chilly relations between the US and Russia.

But the Japanese government is hoping that Obama's visit to Hiroshima will boost the momentum for achieving his stated goal of a nuclear-free world.

1945年の核攻撃以来初の米国大統領としてオバマ氏広島を訪問する

日米両政府は１０日夜、オバマ大統領が伊勢志摩サミット終了後の今月２７日に、現職のアメリカ大統領として初めて、被爆地・広島を訪問すると発表しました。

オバマ大統領の広島訪問を巡っては、アメリカ国内に、「原爆投下は、戦争の早期終結のために必要だった」という意見が根強くあることから、日本政府は、日米関係やアメリカの国内世論への影響を考慮して、「アメリカ政府が決めることだ」として、静観する姿勢を堅持してきました。こうしたなか、オバマ大統領が広島訪問を決断したことについて、安倍総理大臣は１０日夜、記者団に対し、「心から歓迎する」としたうえで、「今回の訪問を、すべての犠牲者を日米で共に追悼する機会としたい。核兵器のない世界に向けて、大きな力になると信じている」と述べました。

政府は、今回の訪問を通じて、オバマ大統領が目指してきた「核兵器のない世界」への国際的な機運を高めるとともに、核保有国と非核保有国の対立やアメリカとロシアの関係悪化の影響などで停滞する核軍縮や不拡散の取り組みに弾みをつけるきっかけとしたい考えです。

I think that the president of the United States of America, as the world's largest economy has made a bold decision. So I stick up for him.

Everyone has a right to live. And we should respect the rights of others, much more their lives.

A human's life is merely a moment compared to nature that has existed for billions of years. That's why I'm hoping to live to the fullest as God has given us this life.

世界最大の経済大国である米国大統領として、大変な英断かと思います。

ですので私はオバマ大統領を支持します。

人はみな生きる権利があります。

そして我々は他人の権利を尊重すべきです。

まして生命はなおさらです。

何億年も前から存在していた大自然に比べれば

人間の一生なんてほんの一瞬の出来事に過ぎません。

Take Five テイク・ファイブ

I live by the sea. And I usually go for a walk around there before breakfast. I also use stairs instead of elevators to keep fit. That was a gloriously sunny day that I walked to Takasu Seaside Park - that's about a 40 minute walk from my house.

私は海の近くに住んでいます。
そして、朝食前にその周辺をウォーキングすることにしています。
また、健康維持のため、エレベーターには乗らず階段を使っています。
この日はす薔薇しく快晴だったため、
家から徒歩40分位の高洲海浜公園へ歩いて行きました。

The sea was calm. Once in a blue moon, there are times when I sit still for hours and look at it. The breath of fresh sea air gives me inner peace. The time is precious treasure to me.

Life is like the ocean. It can be calm and still, or rough and rigid, but in the end, it is always beautiful.

海は静かでした。
ごくたまに何時間もずっと座って海を眺めていることがあります。
爽やかな海の息吹に心が落ち着き。。。
その時間は私にとって大切な宝物なんですね。

人生は海のよう。
穏やかで凪いでいる時もあれば
荒れて厳しい時もある。
でも結局は。。。それはいつも美しい。。。

Incidentally, what is your favorite way to relax? My way to relax is to act. I have three reasons. First, since I speak loudly, I can feel refreshed. Second, as I move my body a lot, I can loosen my muscles. Third, it is fun because it can make me become like another person. I really like acting. It has made my everyday life a lot more fun. As such, all the photos uploaded here were my acting. 😁

ところで、あなたのお気に入りのリラックス方はどんな感じですか？
私の場合はズバリ！演劇をすることです。
理由は三つ。
まず、大声で話すのでリフレッシュ出来ます。
二つ目は、身体を目一杯動かすので筋肉をほぐせます。
三つ目は、他の人になれるから楽しい
そんな感じで演じることが大好きですし
そのおかげさまで毎日がとても楽しかったりします。

Digress the topic, I've got three hobbies: work, work and work. That's why I love nature. Anyway, I really do love nature; I love to be in it. It is beautiful, permanent and beyond us.

余談ですが、私には趣味が三つあります。
それは仕事、仕事、、そして仕事です。
それが自然を愛する理由ですねハイ。

ともかく自然が大大大好きです。
それは未来永劫美しく
我々人間は足元にも及びません。
